When i bought my landy 4 yrs ago it had already been remapped and anytime i plugged in the nanocom i coukd see it it usually said twisted now it went in to a landy specialist to get bits done itd been away a while as they seemed to find 1 thing after the other eventually i got a £2400 bill ; brought the car home and within weeks after a service it just stopped we you tubed everything tried finding fault on the nanocom which showed no faults but also didnt show the twisted remap anymore , turns out its the fuel pump so its sorted but im wondering why when i plugin the nanocom it doesnt say twisted anymore
Its been suggested that could the garage have taken the twisted remap out ??? They never had the nanocom so i dont know butit defo doesnt drive like it used to
Can anyone advise

Ecu swap;) not sure if they are a straight swap on yours cos no details of vehicle.

But I would definitely investigate further. What else was on the list of work done?
Any clues as to what they were digging in, maybe totally innocent. But;)

Thanks for replying its a 2001 discovery td5 but has a 60000 miles 2005 defender engine 2.5 tdi td6 they had my car for 8 months kept saying the headlining was out and they had trouble sourcing a bcm mod so after 6 weeks gave me a car to use in the mean time
Work done was
Exchange of bcu
Supply key
Radio receiver for central locking
Supply fit radio reciever fir key / central locking
Strip interior headcloth
Remove reciever
Supply & fit reciever & program
Rebuild
Supply & fit all door latches
Supply & fit window regulator
Supply & fit battery
Mot ( since they had it so long )
Supply & fit droplinks anti roll bar bushes brake pipe track rod ends
Thats the list it only went in to get the back windows wirking and a new bcm ad the central locking didnt work

Do serial numbers show on Nanocom of each ecu? And if so have you got a record of your old 1
Or any pics.

I don’t know the disco or the these engines so sorry not much help, if you edit your thread title and put the word discovery or something, somebody with more insight may pickup on it for better advice.

Maybe @sierrafery might have some insight, as to how easy it would be to do any checks on the present ecu.

Don’t sound right to me, did the garage know you have Nanocom and that you knew you had the twisted map?
