Twin tube side steps

l need a new pair of 110 Twin Tube side steps as mine are past their best.

Last time l paid £250 and actually ended up buying them from the company who make them.

They make them for Land Rover, Britpart etc who then sell them as "OE" for £500

I can't for the life of me find this company now, it was obviously in the U.K. l don't fancy paying £500 when they sell them for half the price.

Does anyone know who actually makes these side steps?

Nobody know the answer to this? l guess LR don't want people to find out who makes these parts at half the price

Bought the new ones, paid £450 which is a lot, but still cheaper than the retail price of nearly £600

They are now on the Land Rover and looking good!
l am going to get my rusty old ones shot blasted and powder coated so l don't have to pay £400+ for another set in the future, they seem to last about three years before looking the worse for wear.

Don’t rely on powder coating to rust proof it, especially something like sidesteps which will get all the salt and grime from the road. You’ll need something else underneath. If powder coating lets moisture in, it rusts away underneath.

Get them galvanised and then powder coat them. I did the same thing with my bullbars for the above reasons. Everything should be galvanised on a Land Rover imo!
