Hi,

My 110's passenger side wing is bent/dipping on top, illustrated crudely in the image below (by the way, that's not my wing - I just borrowed the image):

I'd like to install some chequer plating to both wings, but can't think how to remedy the sag. Would prefer not to replace the wing as I've just had a respray.

Any ideas on how to remedy bending/sag?

Get 3mm checker plate rather than 2mm. It'll take more weight.

I'd say leave the dent as is. The wings can form dents by leaning on them with your elbows, they really aren't very strong. The fact that you're thinking of a toilet plunger says it all. If you can bend a piece of metal with a toilet plunger, it really isn't contributing to the structural integrety and wont be helping the checker plate very much with holding your weight.
