It doesn't look like it has any strength in it whatever it is.

yeah i got the haynes manual but could do with some exploded diagrams so will try and find some, as for tinkering, its what i do best lol although iv done most of what i need too, gonna put some new foot wells in soon and might put the hardtop back on cant work out which looks best hardtop or truck cab!!!!?

Had a thought, is it possible to have the spring curve increased/decreased (depending on requirements) when the leaf spring is being made, just thinking if parabolic (twin leaf) type springs were used instead of multi-leaf type springs.
