Turn off EML help

Hey guys

Since I had a problem with my fuel filter my EML light has been on continuously
I have tried several software s when connected via OBD2 and it always says there are no error codes.

If I click reset error codes it changes the EML status to off but only on the laptop the car still says on.

I know it's not doing any harm but its really annoying
Can anyone help?

I have the full version of PRoscan 5.9

what are your car details maybe you need to use a Hawkeye or another Land Rover Diagnostic tool

to be honest that is one bit os software i dnt like with the elm cable i would rec Scan XL pro version and Scan master elm mate

If its an auto the gearbox ecu can also put the mil on.

Manual gearbox.

just an idea is there is a fault your software is not picking up..

Maybe! Hopefully the software you stated above will help. Are they free?

there not but if you look about and in the right place you will get them for free

Mike i have sent you 2 pm's with links where to find the software

i would have listed them in this thread but didnt want to get into trouble for listing links for cracked software the links include all the cracks to activate the software and the links are the for the software versions i have i do believe there is newer but i no mine works so stick to what i know

the fact it reads the car means its compatible so the reason why its not resetting is a mystery

That's what I thought! It's not brining up any errors either!

I've been told there are codes you can enter in to the terminal section of the software to reset light but it's quite hard finding which codes are correct!

ive never had one not read the only times it hasnt worked is when it wasnt an obd car and didnt connect but then thats different to talking to it and not resetting
