Turbo temperature!!

Hi Chaps,

the pipe from my turbo to intercooler...

I know it varies but what temp is that usually when running?
Ive got some nice silicon hoses for it but want to paint the metal pipe inbetween too...any ideas? Temp will dictate if I need high temp paint etc?

just read in another forum the intercooler takes temp from 82°C to 25°C approx...

Cleaned and sprayed the steel pipes on my TD5 with some smooth Hammerite and they is still perfick after two years. They get hot but you could hold your hand on them without burning yourself. The heat comes from the turbo compressing the air - not from the exhaust.
