Hiya Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get some tyre bands from?

By tyre bands I mean the rubber band that goes around the wheel rim to stop the innertube rubbing on the landy wheel rim and rivits etc??

I just dug out a couple of sets of forward control IIB, rims and want to put my tyres on them last time I had a fair few punctures due to not running tyre bands so any info where I can get them from would be greatful!

If I cant get any I wil have to cut up some old innertubes instead.

Tyre bands should be available at any commercial tyre outfit, as they are primarily for fitting to multipiece rims , although you will probably need to cut a new hole for the valve as the slot is in the wrong place for a rubber valve. HTSH:)

p.s. I run FC rims but do it tubeless , I painted over the rivets and centre section with a rubberoid paint (used for swimming pools IIRC) , they work really well with either 235/85r16 or 265/75r16 even at 20psi for sand use.
