hi, just a quicky, im sick of buying tyres for my land rover and getting punctures so im wondering if it is possable to make your own ?
does any one remember as a kid collecting elastic bands and making huge balls out of them by stretching them around each other, well im thinking i could have the tyres removed from my rims and get loads of elastic bands and stretching them around the rim untill the size is about the same as a standard land rover tyre then covering it with black silicon untill i have a smooth look tyre. for the tread i was thinking i could just use the silicon to make 'tread beads' all round the 'tyre'.
when these wear down i only need a few tubes of black silicon to renew the tread to a pattern i like and being made of elastic bands they will never puncture !
if any one would like to try these new tyres i would be willing to make them for you but you will need to provide 70,000 elastic bands and 36 tubes of black silicon per wheel. i would be willing to take on a partner in this new business venture so if your interested let me know. im also thinking of going on dragons den for some serious finacial backing.
