Hi
Pulled the ABS modulator to replace switches and the plug modification (switches tested faulty)
When removing one of the plungers to replace the seals, removed the small circlip and found the spring broken. the last 1.5 coils had broken off and just sitting there.

anybody else have this done to them??.

apart from buying another modulator any idea where I can get a replacement spring? or would it be ok to use a similar spring.

Does this spring do anything more then place pressure on the end cap to keep circlips in place?

At present I have re assembled the unit, stretching the current spring to give similar pressure, as I dont have access to any shops at present.

Cheers

Blimey Justin, you really want an answer to this problem dont you !!. I,ve read this post on 3 separate forums now.

I have a scrap modulator in the garage, and I,ll happily send you whatever spring you want.

Cheers.

Hi
yeah, sorry but there was a time restriction - this was supposed to be a simple sat afternoon job, but finding the broken spring changed this.
Was supposed to be towing daughters horse trailer on Monday, but not now.

Will replace the spring as the safest option and try and find a local unit to salvage the spring from.

Cheers anyway

Justin
