Hi everyone,
First of all allow me to introduce myself, I'm Iain, long time admirer and soon to be proud owner of a Landrover.
I've bought myself a 1974 series 3 truckcab and am picking it up tomorrow, its been registered and used as an agricultural vehicle by the last owner and currently has lap belts on all seats 3 seats. My understanding is that although this may be ok for the MOT(?) that it may be illegal (and fairly unsafe) so i will want to swap these over to more standard belts as soon as i can, i have been reading up on it today and am a little confused so need some help.
It is a hard top and i think if i buy the exmoor trim brackets i should be able to attach the relevant parts of the belt to those, however i am unsure what kind of belt i need to fit - does any one have any suggestions or info for me?
Does any one know of anywhere that provide an installation service? although i'm keen to get my hands dirty on my new toy i'm not sure that the lives of my or my passengers are best left in my hands.....
