Truck Cab Conversion

I've recently been looking at replacing my 200TDI defender Truck cab, In Favour of a Disco. The main reason was for carting my expanding famiy so I need more seats.
However, after a great pay and play day at Slindon Safari this weekend, I'm having second thoughts.

What Iwas thinking of doing is converting my truck cab to a hard top station wagon. From what i can see the truck cab just un bolts and I bolt on the new roof, sides and back door.

Is this feasable or is there anything I need to know before I do this.

For example, is this legal? do I need to tell DVLA? how do i connect seats and seat belts etc. at the end of the day, this conversion is to allow me to carry my kids in the car on the odd occasion?

If anyone has experience with this sort of thing, it would be well appreciated.

Rear Seats will be Ebay or one the many retailers in the UK. Probably going to go for Lasalle Interior trim and head lining.
