My TD5 110 wont start however with a little help with easy start it works fine and will continue to run under its own steam. However, as soon as it is switched off then it will refuse to come back on and the same process has to be done again to get it started. Video explaines for https://youtube.com/shorts/dXx5e8qzWAM (wont let me embed the video but it is shown in this one well.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Measure the voltage on the battery while cranking when it doesnt start, if it drops below 10.5V you need a stronger battery as the ECU needs more voltage to fire it up, if that's not the case make somehow to try to bump start it without cranking and if it start there's a problem with the starter as it disturbes the crank sensor's signal and you'll have to change it... btw, while it's cranking in vain can you feel some diesel smell at the exhaust and if you just turn ignition on 2 is the fuel pump loud or silent?

Fuel pump is going good, havent checked voltage yet. although changed out the crankshaft sensor but the loom side plug a wire was broken off so that could be the issue. just ordered a new one so hopefully thatll fix it. but will also test the voltage to see check that. Thanks for the help so far

UPDATE: all fixed, if your engine sounds like a bag of hammers as mine did. basically it would start but then would be able to rev and would cut out. This is all fixed with a spacer for the crankshaft sensor spacer. its a super thin bit of metal that'll fix all your problems
