Hi all
Just been chatting to my neighbour, who was speaking to his mate... Blah... Blah...
Anyway, his comments have really got me excited (too easy at my age). Symptoms : No central locking, no internal lights, no wipers. Answer is crying out that the car may have switched itself into Transport Mode, so they speculate. The car was indeed delivered to me last Friday on the back of a car trailer, so is this possible? And what on earth does it mean?
Hoping that some of you LR genii may be able shed some light.
Cheers
Mark

Three questions:
Don't you already have a thread running on this, with people giving help?
Have you put her on diagnostics yet?
Do you have functioning EAS?

This transport mode crops up often. As a reason/excuse for other problems:).

The way I see it, it’s for LR to transport it is not something a normal person would be able to do. Can’t remember how to get out of it but fink it may need diagnostics, which goes back to LR dealers only.

I really don’t know but that’s what I remember from search a while ago.

Don't know about the 322 but the 38 has a lock \ unlock on the Story Wilson EAS diagnostics. Is it to lock the suspension so the tie downs on the car transporter don't slacken off

If I remember correctly (please bare in mind I have forgotten more than I have learned:eek:) it’s a mode for the L322 that basically disables it waking and stays at a low level (but not bump stops) also disarms the alarm to some degree and more.
Now I am .
If tied for transport by the road wheels does the car care;).

I looked into it a while ago and figured I didn’t need to worry;).

As I said it’s an excuse/reason but it’s probably a problem in real life with what’s wrong/ not working.

Kind of, as I had mentioned these and other issues I had on my first took delivery. In my First day with Sally thread.
Yes, she has had Snap On diagnosis, which sorted out EAS and HDC.
Yes, she is currently in Off Road mode and on blocks, ready for a gearbox service as soon as I can find the time.
Thanks, hope that helps.

To other replies, seller did not do anything other than drive her onto transport trailer and strapped the wheels. So if the car has gane into transport mode, she did it all by herself, which I find fascinating and kind of cute. Clever girl. However, if that has happened, then she is not coming out of it without some help it seems. Maybe she is just tired and wants a rest.

I was just wondering if this is a well known phenomenen within L322 circles that I am completely unaccustomed to. I have asked other questions about diagnostic tools, so I guess this is a follow on to that, which tool will find, check and clear a Transport Mode issue, if indeed that is what it is???

Many thanks to all for your input
Cheers

Don't think they tie the cars down using wheel straps on car transporters,@pete12345 will know think he drives one. There's something in the manual about not using the tie down eyes for towing..

Thanks for the answers.
So , going by replies EAS was off. Which oddly enough is another Transport Mode setting. However, did you ever take battery readings? I'm sure someone will have told you by now that a slightly, poorly battery will throw up all types of faults.
There is also the good old L322 habit that a fault never travels alone. They may have different causes but they'll still travel together.

Ok transport mode is a special function on the Foxwell that is either on or off. The display says that once set the car will not lower until the key is removed from the ignition and will not raise again until the key is re inserted.
Which goes against the OP's , 'EAS and HDC inactive'. I think he also said he was able to 'reset' them. Which would lead away from Transport Mode

Yer Alan we just strap the wheels when we load the new range rovers we don’t touch transport mode the new cars are in transport mode but it’s different from what the the bloke has posted all new cars come into the country in transport mode we can’t even drop the suspension to get the height down
