Transmission Troubles

I got lots of wierd and wonderful noises happenin!!!!!! Sort of clacking noise when driving not the engine as the noise is not present when just reving the engine but happens in all gears when driving. Its a 300 tdi 110 could this be the common gearbox faults i've heard 300 tdis have.
Also i have a big clonk as you start off or change gear feels like when my celica killed the rear diff mount but the axles are definately mounted alright. Diff slop? propshaft play? drive members?

cheers fella i'll get bits for that when the big axle swap happens (previous owner stripped the threads on the nearside rear drive member flange and welded it on so i got an axle to replace it with.
