Transmission fluid after wading

Went thorugh a ford with out me wading plug in.Opps! Checked me transmision fluid the next day and it is high, does that mean its had a bit of water to drink?Can it just drain the fluid and refill with fresh or is it gonna be worse than that?

oil floats on water, so best to drop and change

Yeah thought so, now perminate damaged tho? Only done 100 miles max like that
