Hello gents'
went today to replace the diff oil for the first time and it was charcoal black...while doing the regular oil check ups i have discovered that the transfer box is filled with the same oil as the diff not ATF ,altough rave says it must be ATF...i kept it as it is for the moment, and went here to ask you guys if it is ok to keep it or it is better to replace with ATF...
i heard some people say that it is better to fill it with the diff oil not ATF,i am not conviced....
kindly advise me
thank you

so how can i flush this oil again properly without having it mixed with the new atf?damn it,ignorant p38 owners (previous owner) when they don't know abt p38 they actualy brake it instead of fixing it.i spent 4 months reading hundreds of threads on LZ before i bought my p38,and till now i still learn new stuff.
please help answering my worrying questions.
thank you

ok update
Talked 2 the rover specialist today and explained the situation,he said u can keep the gear oil in it,it is ok.i also found on my search that alot of people owning p38 actualy find it better to use ep instead of atf ! In the transfer box. Wtf !
