Series 3 Transfer box question - turning wheels by hand with vehicle raised

When one rear wheel is raised off the ground and turned by hand, the front propshaft also moves. To be able to rotate the rear wheel by hand, I also have to raise one front wheel.

This is with the transfer box set to 2WD (yellow lever in the up position).

It does the same with the red lever set to either high range, neutral or low range.

The vehicle has standard drive flanges fitted to the front hubs.

I find it easier to get the grease fittings on the propshafts into the correct position for greasing by raising one wheel and rotating the shaft.

With the transfer box in 2WD, why should the front propshaft try to rotate by turning the rear wheel?

I would bet it is still in 4wd take the cover off the front output shaft casing that lets you see the shafts and compare lengths in various positions to attached pdf.
With red lever in neutral front is coupled to rear in low it is coupled ,going from low to high the yellow knob should jump up if it was pushed down before going to low

The yellow lever does pop back up as it should when the red lever is cycled forwards. The spring is also present on the yellow lever, I have read on here before that they can be missing.

The box was rebuilt in 2014 and is cycled to 4WD occasionally, so everything should hopefully be free. I will remove the covers and check.

Before I removed the freewheel hubs, I could see that the front propshaft wasn't moving when driven with the box set to 2WD.
