knob? I'm not the one who wasn't able to get the plate of my tbox. and I'm also not the one who doesn't seem to have a clue about how to go about checking it out properly.

would you turn up at a garage and ask as many stupid questions and expect not to be either charged for wasting their time or told to #### off? don't think so.

that said, if u get it all back in one piece and working make sure u take a pic ;)
 
Em interesting is this place! you get folk on here that are really helpful and then you get the worlds biggest t-----s for some reason, having never owned a landrover before the questions might sound stupid to you pal but not to me so if you just want to add to the comments by pulling me to bits don't bother! when all I am doing here is trying to get advice from folk that have owned landys for a while and know there stuff about them!

I must admit this is on the money. I have posted a few questions on a few forums and this one definitely delivers the goods faster and in more quantity than the others. You just have to either ignore the 'friendly banter' or join in.

LRO I check every few days/week, this one everyday. Just give as good as you get lol

once youve removed plate check intermediate gear for end float ,might need knocking off then prising carefully ,to check input secure plate with 3 bolts and check it for endfloat ,though is often easier to check play in gears by removing sump and not pto plate , also when plate is secured but cover off check for movement between shaft abd input gear by rocking box in rev and first with clutch
