HI everyone, My L322 3.0L Tdi 2004 was jacked up this afternoon to change brake pads. I put the car into Neutral. But now the car has stuck itself there in neutral.
I can shift the car through P,R,D etc... but no movement and I can hear what sounds like synchro mess clashing ie. not mating up when I try to select Drive??

Any help welcome please.

All sorted. I removed the transfer motor. powered it up (12v) to spin it to line up with the spline notch on the transfer shaft (which was actually at 7 O'Clock rather than the suggested 11 O'Clock). but it has worked and the car is running fine again.

I will be buying some transfer oil & doing a drain & refresh of the transfer fluid later this week.

ATF for the transfer box on the P38.

It will be a lazy hi/low motor. If not used regularly or just exercised the motor starts to book its holidays ;)
So if its working keep it exercised :)
