Morning all. The wife's discovery has decided that it needs a transfer box rebuild! The input gear bearing destroyed itself.

So today a large box from Ashcroft transmissions arrived with lots of shiny bits inside.



Plus all the bearings required.

So with the lt230 transfer box manual in hand I am going to brave the cold of the workshop and give it a go!

Any advice or comments would be great.

Have fun and enjoy it. Take a couple of bottles of wine with you and it'll be great.

Transfer box stripped! Lots of cleaning to do now.

if input gear bearing went, what is the condition of center set of teeth on intermediate gear ,any marks on them will lead to noisy box
