anyone on here changed their trans box ratio from 1,2 to 1.4 due to bigger tyres have a TD5 auto ( rebuilt ) up rates torque converter how does it run on the road when towing Thanks Dave

What size tyres?
The auto Td5 is a bit of a slug compared to the manual. If you are going bigger than 33" tyres, then either 4.10:1 diffs and/or a 1.4:1 transfer box is likely to be an improvement.

tyres are 31.7 " 235 85 16 looking at changing the trans box would be cheaper than both diffs !
