The only thing that springs to mind is perhaps you have CDL engaged.
If your transfer box has CDL fitted and someone has crawled underneath at some point and engaged it with a spanner you would get windup from that.
I'm only hazarding a guess mind.

sounds feasable! how would i check that? wouldnt it put a light on on the dash?

It should illuminate the difflock light. I think it's red and at the top left of the dash, but i'm not 100% sure of that.
CDL was the only thing I could think of that would cause windup.

no lights on! i was told it was caused by turning into tight parking spaces or a lot of manuvering on full lock!? like you say if the CDL was engaged i would understand this. do you think odd sized tyers would cause it ie: new fronts and worn backs?

It's possible i suppose, but i'd expect something more than just odd tyres to be the problem.
