trailer light socket no right hand indicator on trailer there is power at the socket on havzards but not when iNdicating right als on hazard although power at socket no light on trailerl is this an earth issue
 
Are you saying if you put on the indicator then the pin in the socket has no power to the indicator?
But when you use hazards the pin does and they both flash?

I would usually suspect the plug/socket or earth. but if it works on hazards I would suspect the connection in the car at whatever place they connect.

Is it a LR specific towing harness or a DIY job, you give no clue on the age.

2007 puma power at both pins. on socket on hazard but no right hand when connected to trailer even on hazards
 
Ah ok so its the trailer?
Take it you get power on the pin for said indicator when indicating? I take it all other lights are fine?


I chased a problem with a trailer for ages thinking it was our "old landy" that was the issue.;)
Finally.... traced it to the trailer light connector, the trailer was a youngster :vb-groan2:

Time for the DMM to find out where the volts runout:)

no only on the left but both at the pins on hazard think i will run a wire from the socket to right hand indicator i hate electrics
 
Get yourself 1 of these then it will tell you which end is the issue. It sounds as if you have a couple of issue tbh if I understand your post right.
