I bought a wired Trailer Vision reversing camera for my Rice horse trailer. The idea was to hard wire into the trailer sidelights instead of the reversing light, keeping my Disco sidelights on whilst towing pony to keep an eye on her.
My husband wired up the camera to said trailer sidelights and connected to his van (I was out today) "no signal" to the LCD screen.
I came back and hitched up Silver and me bloody cigar lighter don't work so the LCD don't work either. Grrrrr. Can't be fuse 15 as my interior lights work, or could it?
Anyhoo, no signal when plugged in to hubby's van means no power to the camera. Instead of wiring into trailer electrics can it be wired into my LR towbar, I have one of those double socket ones. The camera instruction manual is crap. I've tried Trailer Vision website and google.
Please forgive my thickness but is there a simpler way of doing this? (as long as I get my fag lighter sorted). Thanks in advance
