Hi Folks,

I have recently been getting a Traction Failure message on the message centre. It comes with the ignition on even before starting the car.

I did do some searches and noticed about low volts could cause this so I've changed the battery to an Alphline 1000cca as recommended here but still the fault comes.

I have attached the nanocom but cant see any faults registered on ABS / motronic of Gearbox systems.

Anyone got a good place to start looking?

Thanks

OK a bit more info....I connected the nanocom and went for a drive. The aim was to monitor the wheel sensors to make sure they were all recording about the same. Trouble is as soon as I start to move nanocom displays "unable to perform function" and once its done this I can no longer establish communications with the ABS ECU until I turn the car off / on.

Does this sound like a potential ABS ECU issue?

Thanks again.

Thanks. The fault seems to have stopped now! I'll see if it returns before replacing the ECU. The later ones are a bit pricey!
