Any thoughts on the best place to take a power supply from.

Tiny tracker with a 40day battery built in. Can mount anywhere really.

Shouldn't discuss on an open forum, could PM any thoughts.

Any permanent live should do it. If you want to place it somewhere unusual where there is no obvious power source, then as the current draw is small it only needs a single, fairly thin gauge, fused live wire taken from a suitable point and fed covertly to where you need it - just don't make it obvious. Earth to somewhere local.

IF its got a 40 day battery where you get the live from doesn't matter. Just make sure its a bloody pain to get to as worst case scenario someone follows the feed to the tracker

Does it need to be permanent or ignition switched? My tracker needed both. As the current draw on these things is minuscule it doesn't really matter. The major chore was routing cable through the car so as not to chafe on any sharp metal objects and so it doesn't look like it is going anywhere special to the casual observer.

Are you sure its got a battery which can power it for 40 days? Most trackers quote their battery time in days when in reality it can only power it for a small number of hours.
