Hi Guys

FOllowing bent steering rod episoed of a few couple of weeks ago< i ahev tried to remove the offending item to replace it witha nice shiney new one , however I don't seem to be able to remove the split pins from the trac rod ends and remove it.

Any ideas how the hell I can get them out? tried pliers, hammers, the usual but to no avail, gallons of WD etc.........HELP! Need to put new arm on as I would like to steer in the right direction........

Maybe the castle nut has turned a tiny bit and is lockin' the pin in place. or just make sure both the ends are straight and together before tryin' to pull it through.

if your putting new track rod ends on, just give it some wellie an turn it through the split pin, it don't matter if it snaps if you are renewing it, they only cost about 4 quid from paddocks, an i found if the split pin is rusted to fook you'll never get it out, unless you drill it out that is. an you'll have fun with that too.
just fitted complete new track rod on mine 35ish quid from paddocks, an trackin was about 25 quid.
