towing with a lifted d1

hi guys, got a 300tdi I use as my daily and to tow a large car trailer most days. thinking of fitting 2'' lift springs/ shocks I got spare but unsure wether it will make towing a lot worse. anyone on here use there lifted landy for towing and is it recommended. thanks

make sure your springs are heavy duty and you have a drop plate big enough to compensate so the trailer isn't doing a wheelie and you'll be fine! I tow a car trailer and a sankey with mine quite regular

yeah they procomp shocks and h/d bearmach springs, got enough steel for drop plate but as it will be standard props i'd thought i'd be going through u'js and rear diff seal like nothing. i'd be running 235/85/16's aswell

i've recently put 35's on mine and dont notice the sankey on the back, not towed the car trailer with them on yet but can't imagine it'll be too bad!I've never had any issues towing with my 2 inch lift - thats bearmach HD springs and terrafirma +5 shocks.

I generally only tow locally though

I've got a 2 inch lift with 33"s and tow very often, mainly either a 16ft ifor or a woodchipper. No issues and I've been lifted over a year.
As said above you need a drop plate especially if your trailer has more than 1 axel to male sure all wheels are on Tarmac, I've got a Dixon bate adjustable with a 4 inch drop plate on to run level.

I've got a 2" lift and 33x12.5s on my 110 and its far more stable towing than my dads standard Disco 2.

The castor correction radius arms helped stability too abit though especially under braking.

I've a receiver hitch and drop plate and tow cattle boxes, car transporters and a flat bed a few times a week
