I'm due to pick up a caravan this weekend.
Just thought I'd check my Landy insurance docs.

It says quite specifically that I'm not covered for towing a caravan
It says also that if I tow a broken down vehicle I'm also not covered.

So be aware.
Just hope that Adrian Flux is open Easter Saturday and that they're not going to charge too much.

I have to raise the question though that Adrian Flux are a Land Rover specialist and that Land Rovers are frequently used for towing- Should towing not come as standard paticularly with Adrian Flux?

CORRECTION_ JUST CALLED ADRIAN FLUX- I AM INSURED! APOLOGIES ADRIAN FLUX

Usually when taken out s new policy your asked if you'll be towing anything.
That said Adrian flux may be specialist but know jack ****.

AF specialise in whatever car you ring up about Jordan got one of their Erks to quote me for the new car even though not a landy but still couldn't get close to Saga, yes I am that old, their policy is fantastic too, both of us covered for any other vehicle, towing all the bells and whistles you normally pay extra for. Phone people who speak my own language too:D

I have both my chevy's with flux now, the blazer I bought just over a year ago and did it through grove and dean who no one else could get close to, including af.

when it came to renewal, I got some quotes, grove and dean were still cheapest, the af quote was a fair bit more, the lady I spoke to at af - we have around 15 years no claims on the other policy - spoke to the underwriters and came back with a figure that undercut grove and dean so naturally I transferred.

the main problem with af and others was the lack of no claims on the blazer as it was an additional car.

Guess I am saying it depends on who answers the phone and how experienced they are, had that with other people over the years too.

and I bet underwriters will do favours for some introducers and not others, I am sure they are no different from anyone else :D

What you think you save with some of these brokers rapidly disappears with extra charges for "extras" or doing the slightest thing , I insure with NFU , its not quite at the
cheap end , but recently added sister to one of the cars for 3 months , at no charge !

Cooltide is right to mention Third party only. Most insurers, when asked, repeat third party only, so read the small print.
Had serious debates with insurers over the years regarding what is stated in policy, especially when there are contradictory clauses.
Can be expensive if not confirmed.
