just went out to make myself useful and gloat,
found an m3 alpina bmw thingy with rearwheel drive and sporty tyres spinning all over the shop,
offered him a tow home,
got him out of trouble and then started a very slow hill descent, nothing dramatic, just chocka with other traffic, he started sliding all over the shop again behind me and then hit me tow bar, no grip at all, how do you deal with those towing conditions, then?
i towed him into side road , and he walked home. One way of doing it i suppose, just wondered if there was a technique to it.

Nothing you can do if you gotta hit the brakes going downhill - we found this out on Sundee when we were pootling (coasting) very nicely down a particularly steep and icy hill, summat came round the corner towards us so i very gently touched the brake (no choice, car was as wide as the lane) and we immediately started accelerating at a dramatic rate of knots towards it - only thing stopped us was i took me foot off the brake and drove into the hedge!

Devon hedges are nearly as good as ours, it stopped us a treat. The back tried to overtake us (luckily) so that pointed us at the hedge the other side, and i just wedged into it! Just as well seeing as i had the whole family on board!!!

i towed six people out of trouble this evening,
and only one offered me anything, two of 'em even found it more important to continue their mobile phone calls anorl,
rather than take any notice, of what i was doing, and help look for the tow eye!,
****in 'ell, people nowdays, selfish world, i thort it was the season of good cheer and kindliness?!
i can't stand these office boy ****pots.
South East england,
silicon valley, soulless.

Anyways bit of an adventure too,

jus felt like it rather than getting all maudlin.

Gotty, id stand there looking at em till they finnished theyre call and then see if they were gonna pitch in.You dont work for em so make em wait.If they didnt roll up the sleeves then chip off!
When i towed a few mercs in feb i didnt mind the ones that didnt pay but all of em tried(the majority didnt have clue, but least they made the effort)
