I was told to do this by a guy who does re maps?? i know nowt about that side of things! i honestly had no idea you had to go for a run to establish faults,

changed injector seals on my td5 today but hasnt made any difference to power, was told it would but nope,

Checked fuel pressure,
tested flow rate,
cleaned pump,
reconditioned fpr + checked mesh that goes into head,
cleaned map sensor,
cleaned maf sensor, reading 54 on tickover.
replaced injector loom and cleaned both ends of plug with electrical contact spray
checked actuator is moving freely,
replaced wastegate solonoid and changed injector seals and cleaned everything today.

Could it be the turbo? recently drove from yorkshire to norfolk and back and it had used oil! had to top up when i got back, about a litre, and as far as i can see its not got a leak,

that needs looking at, you should feel boost as engine is revved by holding the hose just before inlet manifold

Yes i have had someone rev the engine whilst i hold the hose squeezed in and after around 1800 revs i cant keep it squeezed in, have you any ideas?

What about aeals on the turbo? i did have a bad oil leak but it was coming from camshaft plastic end cap but not getting any drips on a piece of card overnight so can only pressume it burnt the oil?

Yeah runs ok starts ok revs out ok in neutral but floor it and its like a slug! i know its a big motor but surely it should move! its all been serviced too oils filters etc

this doesn't mean to say you have full boost ..you will need a pressure gauge and check boost pressures under load

enough to know its not an issue

just re checked mine ..@ 1800 rpm in neutral I only make 3 psi boost pressure at the inlet manifold @ 2200 rpm I make 4 psi boost pressure ..under a slight load engine @ 1800rpm 12 to 13 psi
so with out known boost pressure his ecu might be going into over boost from get go
also without known true boost pressure he might be only getting 5 to 8 psi of boost regardless of engine load

if the engine is burning oil this can be a few things like piston rings valve guide seals breathing system ... or even turbo bypassing check end float on the turbo push and pull on the turbo impellor bearing
remove air intake pipe is there much oil in the intake manifold is there any abnormal smoke coming out of the exhaust ?

just a quick question is yours an automatic if so make sure the automatic is selecting all gears .and not jammed in 3rd
