Tow bar swap

Hi, old freelander 1 has come to its end of life & dad is buying a freelander 2 td4, does anyone know if we can take the tow bar off the old car and put on the newer one? Or if they are a different fit.

Welcome to the forum

I thought they made moving tow bars illegal 20 odd years ago to stop peeps reusing them. When the cars worn out often the tow bar is anorl.
