Tow bar electrics tdci

My tdci didn't come with a towbar, I've found a new one on eBay listed for a tdci with no electrics but the bloke sells them separately, trouble is the only electrics he has are listed for a td5, are they the same? I know i can get them elsewhere but it would Be nice to Combine postage and have it at the same time. I've emailed and rung but he hasn't replied to either! Ta

i would search around for the best priced. there are a multitude of articles from a general google search. let alone the advice from halfords or any other parts store. fitting wires for a trailer socket is easy so i would go for the td5 one if you are happy with the price. what is the worst that could happen. lol

On these new ones they have the wiring built in see, it's a multi plug hidden under a flap in the xmember, just wanna double check that they haven't changed the plug over the years haha

The Trailer Pickup Connector (C0929), for connecting 7-Pin (12N) Towing Electrics, is the same on TD5 and TDCi Defenders.

Even without the plug, it's easy. The other day I fitted all new electrics to my tow ball because they were a bit worse for wear from off roading. Took me about half an hour and I just googled 7 pin trailer electrics diagram.

ok cheers! im still a bit annoyed that this bloke hasnt replied to any emails or phonecalls, but ill probably just buy it and hope for the best like. I was tempted to say f**k him and go somewhere else, but this one suits my needs n stuff so im gonna have to surrender i think
