Tow ball!!

Breakaway CABLES are used on braked trailers, they are supposed to snap after applying the trailer brakes.

CHAINS and secondary couplings are for unbraked trailers to keep the trailer attached to the tow vehicle in the event in become uncoupled.

I fitted this. £30 from Ebay. Looks ok to me. But what an absolute pain to get the old one off! Thank God for angle grinders!!!!

got a builder who lives oposite me, and hes got one of them duall purpose tow balls too,
but must have backed into something solid and bent the ball bit back and up a bit
was complaing the pin no longer fitted, so I said you may be able to nudge the ball down a bit again, but beware of stress fractures....
so he was standing on the ball in his boots jumping up and down.........

I had to walk away...lol....
