Well just picked up my Range Rover and surprisingly it made it home 14 miles. Now the blokes saying 350miles on £50? Does that sound right? I hope it is because I was getting 100 miles from £20 in my 1.8 Astra. Still lovely drive andpleased with it at the moment, well apart from it having really gay looking alloys on it.

Only if it has an Astra engine in it. On a quick calculation that is around 36 mpg, don't think there has yet been a Range Rover made that achieves that sort of mileage in general everyday use.

What sort of gay alloys?? Need pictures!

Might be in the market for some gender confused ones!

16in?? yuck

I've got the Hurricanes myself - occasionally in a moment of madness think about getting 19s or 20s but then sober up

That does sound a little too optomistic! My 4.6 will do 350 miles on £100 of petrol (about 15-16mpg on average). That's why we own Range Rovers - to keep the fuel companies in buisness!

I just done a 1000 miles to and from Cornwall, plus the running around..my 4.6 Hse On a run @ 60mph does around 24 mpg, with the better half driving on a run errrr... 21.5 @ 70+....... also taking it very easy i get 14/15 around town , again the wife is heavy footed, 11 mpg around town..... Enjoy!

Is that 350 miles of downhill driving with the wind behind you ??:hysterically_laughiDream on !! I only get 45mpg out of my 4.6 towing a caravan up mountains at 80mph.

I picked a 4.6 hse up in middlesbrough last week, filled it with £66 of petrol...drove it to manchester, 97 miles...had to fill up again..I **** you not. Obviously this was on private land..... :D

I have now learnt to drive at 70mph on motorways. I get 15mpg averaged out 50/50 motorway/town driving.
