Hi I'm new to your fix-it zone and I am demented, caused by my dear wifes
facination for making things happen to her L series Freelander Can anyone please help. Recently the top hose blowoff at the intercooler . I managed to refit it only to have it come off again over 2700 rpm. The hose is I believe
factory fitted (s reg.) and I have ordered a new One any other advice on problem would be appreciated thanks.

The hoses would be secured on with clamps if they are anything like the P38. I take it you re-fitted the clamp when you put the hose back onto the intercooler?

Hi Wills , YES I have cleaned up the inside of the hose with an alchol spray allowed to dry and refitted but the hose repressurises over 2500rpm and blows off.Should there be that much pressure? Is there a blockage in the intercooler or something? There is a slight misty smear inside the pipe which I am told is quite normal, but no smoke from exhaust.
