Disco 2 Top hose replacement

Hi all, has anyone used one of these Bearmach top hoses before, see pics ?
I've offered it up & it seems it will /might have a kink in it once fitted. It isn't like the one in the picture when I ordered it (off a popular LR spares seller) & it never came with the clips that were also shown. I want to replace it as mine has a small weep from the bleed screw but don't want to do it twice. Many thanks in advance.

Surely if it has a kink it'll be because it was a fraction too long.
Can you not just cut it down a bit?

As you no doubt know the bends are formed by heat, therefore u possibly will find the bend in the hose will reform, after a bit of time with hot coolant flowing through it but at the moment its not an issue.

That is my past experiences, although that will be at least thirty years old… I’ve never had to replace a vehicle hose since

So I fitted the hose today & it's not quite as kinky

as when offered up, see pic. As for cutting it down, ideally where it connects to the rad. would have been best but as you can see there is only a v short stub of hose due to the plastic lump in the middle. Anyway after a road test all seems well so fingers crossed.

What I do here in the US is buy preformed houses of the right diameter that have the bend I need and cut that portion of the hose out for my needs.

Hi, the genuine hose is a one piece item with four outlets but this one has plastic connectors with the separate hoses branching off. I suppose in the future, if one of the four hoses fail I could remove just that one, then do as you suggest buy a hose to suit.
