Hi,
Recently I had a problem on my Disco 2, the top hose (2 years old) just punctured where the T is jointed, developing a 2-3 mm hole , spreading coolant everywhere.
Lucky me, hearing the belt noise, I plugged the Hawkeye and seen the temperature climbing up, to 106-108 C. Stopped the car, let it cool and changed the hose.
A few questions to you guys:
-any other cases of top hose puncture in that joint area?
-my second thought is head gasket of course, but there is no coolant overflow form the tank (I used a bottle to collect the eventual overflow ), is it normal to have the hose hard, but when I squeeze it, it is compressed 4-5 mm each side.
-I have an old noise in the AC compressor area, like a tap when the engine is cold, is it usual to have a noisy bearing there? Any way to change it other than the whole AC unit?

150 kmiles td5.
