Yep can't wait for it, been waiting for ages since I saw the viral advert they put out...

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCR8kSGDIgs"]YouTube- Top Gear caught in action. Embarrassing parents.[/nomedia]

It's set to be a classic :D:D:D

just read that and it made me smile

I should explain that the V8 we found was not a 3.5 litre. Richard Hammond has a 3.5 in his stepladder, so we got ourselves a 3.9, which is much better. It’s also fitted with carburettors so, if it goes wrong — and it will because it was made by communists — it can be fixed with the only item in my toolkit. A hammer

No one else thought that was the same tired old format

I turned last weeks episode off. Never done that before. I think they need some fresh ideas.

Think they did last weeks on the cheap given that the football was on both ITV1 and BBC 1 at the same time, they even joked that nobody would be watching Top Gear.

I thought last nights episode was ok but have seen better.

you seem to have a bit of a repition issue going on there?

We had a good rant about this a few weeks ago in the general chat about it still being the same old tired boring formula with everything so obviously staged it becomes painful to watch.

Still, i did get round to watching the second episode last night on iplayer. It was better than the first one, but i'll have to see what the next 2 are like when i get time.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, makes for entertaining TV as i watch bugger all else on the box apart from some american show which sees the general public driving in some crazy ways and it's fun to bet on the amount of overweight cops it takes to arrest one driver, highest was 12 piled on to some bloke sprawled on the ground.

I didn't see Hammond's epic mobile set up coming, damn there was some gear chucked in the back of that and c'mon, the toilet was a brilliant idea :D

I thought it was great, very funny - don't really mind about the staged bits, it's still hilarious to me. I just treat it as half car show half comedy sketch.

It is true though, they do need some new big ideas and some more inspiration. I do always enjoy the episodes where they buy/build/design a vehicle and then test it, but they need a different approach now.
