Going to have a go at replacing my knackered wheel bearing this weekend, I haven't done one before but that's why I bought a Disco 1, to learn new things and save on garage bills!!

I've got a Timkens bearing kit and a hub nut socket plus the usual socket set etc, however I've just been to the shop to buy some circlip pliers and was surprised to discover there were three different types (internal, external and angled) without sounding too thick does anyone know which one I need?

Also I was going to buy some grease whilst there but again there was an array of the stuff, would plain old 'multi purpose' grease be OK?

You'll need something to drift out the old bearing race from the hub - I usually use an old punch as a drift. Unless of course you buy yourself a puller.
