could anyone tell me what size and type i need to remove the front brake caliper on my 1996 dei please?
just want to make sure i have everything handy before i start on it.

i need to take the wedged abs cable out from behind the wheel hub and repair this rattle from the disc cover plate.

thank you

You will need a 13mm socket - but when I worked on my brakes recently I also needed a 14mm and an 11mm - so basically you need a standard socket or spanner set.

But then again, it is a land rover:

Thought so, these are hub bolts, the caliper are larger.don't know why this didn't post earlier.

That's the ones. You may well need some heat on them from a torch to free them up as they can be sods. If so, beware the CV boot and I think the ABS sensor wire is nearby too. Use a small spade or similar to shield the rubber parts.
