Awesome build!

I managed another hour today, started by offering up and extending the seat box support panel from 2 hacked ones.

I opted for just one join trying to eliminate all the bits that have been butchered.

So the plan to cut both parts where the black lines are



Once they were cut, the two parts I am using I TIG welded together, I am still learning with TIG and Aluminium so looks rough as I used too thick filler rod. Once it's ground back it will be fine





Then using measurements taken from the old sill and B pillars I chopped up a new set to fit.

Here is the old set


I didn't get any pictures today of the other bits in position as the heavens opened and rain stopped play...

Here is a couple of pictures of the dry fit....

Both sills cut to length and the B Pillars in place



The standard size TDCi seatbox in position and bolted to the extended cross panel.



And with this overhead picture it gives a bit of an idea just how much more foot room you have and space down each side of the seat box.

is it stretched end to end aswell as side to side? that door aperture looks huge!

Well apart from it being a 150 chassis and 6x6
The front door aperture is standard size.

ok cool, just thought the door aperture looked bigger than normal

Recieved cheers. Not looking to do anything yet but have filed away. I have a mate who is on the verge of scrapping his v8 auto disco due to rust. Set me of thinking……
