I have a 97 P38 DSE its pedal heights are as follows
Brake 12cm from floor
Throttle 11cm from floor at idle
Throttle 6cm from floor full throttle.

Just got a 2001 HDSE
Brake 12cm from floor
Throttle 8cm from floor at idle
Throttle 4cm from floor full throttle.

I have to say the 2001 pedal positions feel like the worst relationship between brake and throttle of any car I’ve ever driven. In comparison to the 97 the throttle starts at what would be 75% of the 97 full throttle position. I attributed this relationship to the reason that the 2001 felt so slow by comparison, perhaps I wasn’t pressing the pedal down far enough but I’m beginning to think the real reason may be deeper than that.

Anyone know of a way to change the throttle position on the 2001?

I'll have to look, but on my 2000 the throttle peddle is level near enough with the brake peddle at idle I think?
all the power is in the last part of the movement, it's done like that for off roading to make it less sensitive over the bumps. It's a fly by wire throttle.

You would have to take a look at pedal maybe it's been bent before the fulcrum. Should be easy enough to sort out.

Just used some wire (coat hanger) to compare the bend in the two pedals and sure enough they are different. It looks as though it’s always been this way rather than bent in use. Looks fiddly to get out so it’s a job for another day after all the other things have been sorted.
Thanks for the responses.
