I have the three amigos on. I have changed both nearside wheel sensors but the lights are still on.... any ideas?

If it is just the case that I need to plug it in to a computer to clear the codes...... anyone know where I can get this done in the Bradford/Leeds area..... preferably for free or as cheap as possible.

MOT on Saturday so please help!!

as it happens, i made 3 new 'friends' on tuesday, 'fortunately', 10 days after it passed its mot... and yes, i will get the codes read if i can find someone with a nanocom near me. i do have a couple of questions though, i was getting 2 lights (abs and tc) on rare occasions, only in slow moving traffic. reset after ignition off/on. i had an advisory on the mot of noise from front bearings but no play. so suspected i might get the 3 amigos at some point. was this a pre-warning to the 3 lights and likely to be the front hubs/bearings? also, i still get the "brrr" self test through the brake pedal on start-up. does that mean the abs/tc still works?

If the ABS light doesnt stay on alone after the reset untill the vehocle exceeds 7mph i doubt it's from a hub.... is the amber HDC light coming on after ignition? ... anyway you need to read the fault code

sorry, i didnt make it very clear. i was getting 2 lights (ABS and T/C) very occasionally which reset after restart. i now have all 3 permanently.

I had it plugged in before changing the sensors. It came up both nearside sensors so they were changed. Before the lights would permanently be on but now they go out after switching on and then come straight back on again after starting up. Do you think it's just a case of plugging back in to remove the fault code?

the answer is in post #2 told by @jamesmartin ... i sustain that on sensor fault codes it's rarely the sensor and if a sensor fault was fixed for good it should not come back nor needs code clearing, the code can stay hystorical in the ECU's memory for ages without affecting the warning lamps

Everyone has said, "Get the codes read".
The way DTC's should be treated is first clear all historic fault codes, then drive for a few miles to see whether the indications re-appear then read the code for the actual fault.
Once the fault has been repaired, plug in the code reader and check for and clear any remaining historic fault codes.

Reading the fault codes and trying to repair the items which are shown and then assuming that all the fault codes which might appear after the repair are the same problem isn't really the way to go.
I realise that if you don't own your own code reader it can be a bit of an expensive process but it is the only way to find out what's really happening.
