Thoughts on signwriting

In my opinion its a total waste of time. For 20 years I have had my vans sign written (electrical contractor) and not once have I had a phone call saying I saw your van, can you give me a quote. The only calls I get I sales reps trying to sell to me. Save your money and advertise in local press or Yell.com. Just my opinion.

My way of thinking is this: Say you are a builder and have your own logo on your van then people might remember it.. Then at a later stage if someone needs some building work doing, they check in the yellow pages and see the same logo. They might think you get a lot of jobs since they saw your van and call you instead of the others next to you on the list..

That can work Jack

It's why MPs like loads of signs along the roadside and in fields with their names on before elections - there's loads of research that shows that people when looking at a list of names are more likely to choose one that they recognise (from having seen it about) where they don't have a particular Party loyalty

So what's the business idea young Jack? (yes I realise you're in fact slightly older than me :D) I'm intrigued now :)

Well I have had hardly any time to think about it recently, but it is to do with photography. If I get some time to start figuring it out soon I'll let you know how it gets on :D:D

Ok so I have finally started making some action on this, I have decided in the end to go for something a bit different.

I ordered some waterproof canvas online:

Started stitching a hem (yep on my own!!) and fitted some eyelets:
