Morning campers
Looks like Noel's lower dashboard is pretty much rotted out (no surprise there)
First I thought about fiberglass repair, as I am au fait with the materials.
My next thought, as a non welder, I was thinking about getting some .5mm mild steel sheet, cutting and making the replacement panels and bonding/riveting it all together.
Then I thought a little more, would sheet aluminium be easier to work with ?
I could always buy a new one, but I like the idea of seeing if I could make something from what I have.
Thoughts and comments would be appreciated, especially regarding using rivets and aluminium Vs steel.
Cheers, Shirl.
Ps, has anyone got, or know where I can get the bit of aluminium trim that sits at the bottom of the rear sliding safari windows? The bit that sits on the galvanized drain channel and over the body work?
