thoughts on my first disco

that it¿ ill get some pics tommrow and put a new post up. looking online at how much fully preped discos are fetching. wondered whether to sell mine and buy one allready done.

took it off roading last night for first time. loved it!
mate started on a new housing development when we was thinking were we could go in our trucks he rang his manager asked if we could use the land before work starts. amazing the disco stuck to the ground. had it going up banks without trouble. it was a lit vetter than what i thought it was going to be. and because it was snow it didnt really get muddy.

Good fun ain't it mate me n some mates went out laning last night round tops,two dales chatsworth n few more places was good fun in snow,untill we went up a steep lane n my landy thought it would be fun to slide down backwards!!! Straight into disco behind me bent my bumper in so can't open door now!! Only smashed indicator lens on his cos he got hd bumpers! Think I need to invest in some!

iys rate good fun we went down all lanes then led us out in glapwell near young vanish i think it is. ill drop you a message next time im out that way.

Yeah mate, young vanish is my local! it's all good fun ..I just need a new bumper now!!!! Lol

Yes mate,saving up for some heavy duty front and back they worth it lad I hit got hd one on front n it didn't even mark it!!! Lol

haha worth it then. im doing biggin quarry at end of month then see what i want to do.
im going to blank my egr valve off and maybe decat if i get a bit of pipe. is the cat on a straite section? and anyone know what diameter it is externally?

yeah its straight mate and iirc its 2" pipe. do the centre box whilst youre there.

thanks mr noisy. i have some exhaust pipe at work from a smax. ill measure it tommrow with any luck itll be same size.

egr blanked off.
fuel pump tuned.

2" lift kit
snorkal
bigger wheels and tyres (possibly sorted)
winch front bumper
diff guard
steering guard
tank guard


priced the lift kit up today at paddocks £360 for full kit. springs,shocks,braded brake hoses, dislo cones complete kit.

egr is now blanked off
fitted lift kit today except one corner.
diff guards fitted
steering guard for when i get bumper sorted
looks different now

pic from biggin at weekend. we kind of managed on road tyres got stuck quiet a few times till we figured out where it can go without getting too stuck.

on the look out for a front winch bumper in the next month or so then steering guard can be fitted.

Nothings really changed apart from the list of faults its starting to get expensive.

Cheers. Its lifted it up a bit but catchs on front so some adjustments needed.

you can adjust it, but dunt that make your turning circle bigger?

yeah, but makes ur side lugs last longer lol. n stops the annoying viration on lock. might need a little trimming i think though...

my mates 90 had the same problem.......he ignored it and it eventually went away.

he'd worn the nobbles off the tyre
