Thor Alternator not charging

My ( Thor V8 engine) alternator is not charging the battery but no warning lights on ..car just stopped dead.. Put multimeter on it and only 11.7 v at battery when running at 2000 rpm... Alternator dead ? or does it get a signal to charge from Becm ? if so how can I test for that ?

Probably going to need a new alternator

You can easily refurb it with a diode pack, regulator & brushes.
