This Up?grade could be the way forward!

I think for me it's more a case of somebody taking a 110 and replacing a poorly 200tdi with a 2.25 donk and even thinking that it would be more reliable! Then to find said 2.25 was bollixed now that's just unfortunate! At least the know-all down the pub had it right ' they go for fortunes now they do, and yerv upgraded it so gerrit on eBay..job done'
 
if he still has the original 200tdi engine it might be worth significantly more than it is curently as a non runner with a **** engine....

unless the piston exited the block stage left id be surprised if the 200 cant be refurbed.
 
I've got a 2.25 if someone wants to convert there Tdi to less power. Mine doesn't even have a crack in it.

That 110 must be a pig to drive, can't help think with the cost of the engine and fitting he could've gone a long way in repairing his 200tdi.
He will then be someone who says land rovers are awful. The first engine broke and the second engine could barely move the vehicle and then broke as well

110s did have 2 1/4 as standard when they first came out, although by 1986 they had gone to 2.5.
Doesnt seem very bright to fit one with a cracked block, though.
If I had it, I would have fitted a good 2.5na or 2.5 petrol. Job done! :)
