Thinking of selling

Anyway - the poor guys question has not been answered - I would suggest you look at similar aged vehicles been offered on the bay or autotrader by private individuals. You will know the condition and then watch them sell. We all want way more for our cars than they are worth but if you start low - you cannot increase. Good look - sounds a great bit of kit that was once probably north of £80k !

He may also just want help

Trusting little soul, aren't you! :)

He could look in Autotrader, and see what similar vehicles are up for, or go to some vehicle auctions, or countless other ways of valuing his vehicle.

I always forget that you are fairly new on the forum. This is what happens on the new touchy feely cuddly PC LZ.
Seven years ago, a mod would have whipped his fred straight into the pit. Couple of hours of ritual humiliation from hundreds of members. Doubt if he would have been back! ;)

Dunno, TBH. Is trying to advertise for free on a forum you haven't contributed much to a good thing? Jury is still out for me.

It was a good laugh in the old days, though, I do know that. Dozens of posts while you were writing your next insult. Great entertainment if you were stuck on a farm in midwinter in foul weather! :D

I trust people when they prove themselves trustworthy, or have to people that I know. Same on the innernet as in real life.

I love the banter, also not easy offended. Not so keen on some of the hypocritical people but love the stalwarts who keep up the fun. I do like to seethe good in people.
On that point another question for @JohnM70 and you - ax you love your boats. Is there any alternative boat rides to do in London on a Sunday. Our up and coming visit is pretty booked up and wanted to go on the river but not with a million Japanese

Quite a few, from little Ribs you can book privately, to huge cruise vessels, that take you around the river while you have dinner, and everything in between.

You can use your own boat on the river, but I don't think there are many to hire and steer yourself in Central Lunnon. I could be wrong, I usually bring my own.

For me, a good day out is to get the Fast Ferry from Westminster Pier to Greenwich Pier, and then have lunch in Greenwich, lots of choice for eateries. Then come back on the Fast Ferry. FF is impressive, like a big catamaran that rises up out of the water at speed. And it is a commercial service, so shouldn't be too many tourists at this time of year.

To be honest
i can't seem to find one that has had the same amount of new parts installed with semi ok mileage , and the price range is so vast i really don't know. ive not made my mind up on selling as i do like the space but with 3 kids at the moment, im thinking of going for a discovery with the extra seats as the family is getting bigger.

Exactly what I thought when I read the post, my immediate thought were that t'was a new member trying to whip up some interest for a sale.

LZ does seem to have possibly mellowed a tad of late....or have I missed all the recent threads where members are hung, drawn and quartered for a misplaced or inappropriate post. :)

OK. These questions are actually hard to answer. Another reason no-one likes answering them.

As you say, all vehicles are slightly different, they command different prices in different areas, and a host of other factors.

You could try sticking an ad in your local paper, or on one of the many websites. A lineage ad shouldn't be expensive.
If no-one bites in the first week, chances are you are priceing a bit too high. Knock off a few hundred, and try again.

I reckon it's mellowed personally. And less attitude members online than previously. :)
